Well, we did not hold a fall Young Adult Retreat this past year, and we were not even able to get our winter get-together to happen either. However, we are determined to come together for fellowship this spring. In fact, the whole focus is on fellowship – Biblical koinonia and ways that we can practice real fellowship aside from eating food together. And by the way, we’ll be sure to have lots of good food as well…and plenty of fun to go around.

We are going to hold our sessions a little differently, as opposed to past retreats. We will be having discussion times to supplement the regular preaching sessions. Since there’s no way to tell how big or small of a group that we will have, our discussions might consist of one group or a few groups. There will be a brief challenge regarding the particular aspect of fellowship to be discussed, and then we get to practice what we preach. We’ll spend some profitable time together exploring the many facets of Biblical fellowship.

What to Expect

The retreat will be held at Peniel Bible Camp. Our first official event is dinner at 7 PM on Friday, May 18. You can certainly arrive earlier, though, and we plan to finish by 3 or 4 PM on Saturday (and you’re welcome to leave later). You will be staying in A-frame cabins with other young adults, and if we fill those cabins, we’ll use the lakefront area and then the youth cabins. If necessary, preference will be given to those who register earlier. Feel free to dress casually, but please dress modestly and appropriately so as not to detract from the goal of the weekend.

What to Bring

The cost is $30 which includes overnight accommodations and three meals. Bring your Bible, notebook, bedding, toiletries, and appropriate clothing for both the weather and recreation.
