Ken Perry

Elder

Ken Perry and his wife, Patti, have two children and four grandchildren. Ken is retired and spends a large part of his time serving at Peniel Bible Camp. He was first ordained as an elder at WBC in 1977.

I came to know Christ at age nine through a youth ministry in Chicago. I repented of my sinful condition and trusted in Jesus Christ’s death alone to pay penalty for my sin. As I believed this and received Him as my personal Savior, I was assured of forgiveness and eternal life in Heaven with Him (John 11:25–26).

It has been my joy to worship and serve at WBC for over 35 years. It has been a great place to rear our children with ample opportunity to serve and fellowship with this body of believers. For many years I have enjoyed teaching the Junior High Sunday School class as that was such a crucial direction-setting age in my life. I’m thankful for those the Lord has sent out into ministry as well as those who have continued to serve here in their adult lives.

In 2007 I was thankful for the opportunity to retire early from an IT Project Management job and expand my volunteer ministry as Director of Operations and Administration at Peniel Bible Camp. Increased time and flexibility has enabled me to increase opportunities for mutual fellowship and encouragement with the men and families of our church.
