Ken Perry

Elder

Ken Perry has two children and five grandchildren. His dear wife of 45 years, Patti, went home to be with the Lord in 2020, after a six year journey with appendiceal cancer. Ken experienced God’s comfort and the encouragement from fellow believers during this time of loss. God providentially sent Ken another wonderful woman to be a help meet in 2021. Lois was a single missionary, having served the Lord for 40 years in South America. His son Mark is currently serving as a missionary to Chile. Ken was first ordained as an elder at WBC in 1977.

I came to know Christ at age nine through a youth ministry in Chicago. I repented of my sinful condition and trusted in Jesus Christ’s death alone to pay the penalty for my sin. As I believed this and received Him as my personal Savior, I was assured of forgiveness and eternal life in Heaven with Him (John 11:25–26).

It has been my joy to worship and serve at WBC for over 45 years. It has been a great place to rear our children with ample opportunity to serve and fellowship with this body of believers. For many years I appreciated the opportunity to teach the Junior High Sunday School class as that was such a crucial direction-setting age in my life.

In 2007 I was thankful for the opportunity to retire early from an IT Project Management job and expand my volunteer ministry at Peniel Bible Camp and Westerville Bible Church.
