Why?

The purpose of Hearts and Hands for Missions is to involve ladies of the church in the ministry of worldwide missions, to assist our missionary families, and to acquaint the women of the church with the women on the mission field.

When?

Hearts and Hands for Missions meets monthly with the exception of July and August. Meetings are held on Tuesdays evenings with the exception of September and January, when they meet during the Wednesday prayer meeting. All ladies in the church, seventh grade and above, are invited to attend Hearts and Hands for Missions.

What?

Each Hearts and Hands for Missions meeting includes a Bible study and prayer time for the missionary wives and families. Monthly meetings include a time of encouragement in the Word and a time of prayer for the specific needs for the missionary families. Meetings may also include projects, speakers, visits with missionaries via Skype, or time for letter-writing.

When made aware of a need or desire, the ladies purchase and ship items to our missionaries. Hearts and Hands coordinates the sending of birthday and Christmas cards from the church to missionary families/individuals, as well as for special occasions. Ladies “adopt-a-missionary” wife and send cards and letters. Christmas gifts are purchased, wrapped, and sent to each individual family member on the foreign mission field. Hearts and Hands for Missions maintains a Missionary Cabinet, making it available to visiting missionaries.
