Rob Hammond

Elder

Rob Hammond and his wife, Sara, have two children and regularly provide foster care for other children. Rob works as a technology operations manager in Springfield and was first ordained as an elder at WBC in 2014.

I grew up at Westerville Bible Church and during that time I heard the gospel several times. My sin blinded me to my true nature and I looked to my own actions to save myself. Christ Jesus saved me by his grace from my sin early in high school. The Lord showed me the seriousness of my sin and my need for a true Savior. I can say as Paul stated that “…it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me” (Gal 2:20). I continue to be humbled and excited to partner with the other members of Westerville Bible Church to minister for Christ. Over the years I have had the opportunity to serve as an elder, deacon, youth leader, and a Sunday School teacher. My prayer for our members is that each will become more like Jesus.
