Answer Ready:
Responding to the Tough Objections in Evangelism

It’s that time of year again! We will be holding another Young Adult Retreat on October 28-29 at Peniel Bible Camp sponsored by the CORE Young Adult Ministry of Westerville Bible Church. Come experience the crisp fall weather as we warm our hearts in fellowship with friends (and future friends) – all while we enjoy times of fun activities and focused study.

This will be a great time to invite friends, coworkers, and classmates as we will be reflecting on some of the difficulties of evangelism coupled with the encouragement to press on in personal gospel ministry. We hope that this will be a time to expose some to the gospel message while equipping others to be more effective messengers. The study has the following goals:

  • To lead the skeptic thoughtfully and logically through a biblical answer to common objections to Christianity
  • To strengthen the Christian’s heart as he faithfully wrestles with his own confusion on these topics
  • To equip the Christian to thoughtfully, carefully, and graciously engage his/her peers in conversation regarding these objections

Our Speaker

Keith Lewis serves as the Young Adults Pastor at Colonial Hills Baptist Church in Indianapolis, IN and as the Director of the Cross Impact chapter on the campus of IUPUI. He has been involved in young adult ministry for seven years and campus ministry for four years. He and his wife Dawn have three little boys – Cayden, Jackson, and Brady.

What to Expect

The retreat will be held at Peniel Bible Camp. You will be staying in A-frame cabins with other young adults. If you would like to request to stay with someone in particular, please let us know when you register. Feel free to dress casually, but please dress modestly and appropriately so as not to detract from the goal of the weekend.

What to Bring

The cost is $30 which includes overnight accommodations and three meals. Bring your Bible, notebook, bedding, toiletries, appropriate clothing for both the weather and recreation, and money (if you would like something from the Snack Shop or Store).
