Pastor Hamilton holds the Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in Pastoral Studies from Bob Jones University. The Lord placed him in church planting and pastorates in central and southern California before leading him to Westerville Bible Church in 1996. Pastor Hamilton and his wife Suzanne have four children and two grandchildren.
As a child I came to realize that I was a sinner and Jesus Christ was my only Savior. I trusted in him and was baptized not long after. Over the years I have grown in appreciation for the fact that “God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love withwhich he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together in Christ—by grace you have been saved” (Eph 2:4–5).
After fourteen years of serving as a pastor in churches in California, I accepted the call to come to Westerville Bible Church in July of 1996. I am so grateful for the Lord’s leading and the many things he has taught me about his grace while at WBC. Over the years, I have worked in a variety of roles with a number of people and feel so very blessed to help disciple believers as we grow in Christ together. Shepherding the flock of God (1 Pet 5:2) has been a rich experience and made me thankful for the Lord’s gracious work. I marvel at the great accountability to the church and the Chief Shepherd that being a pastor requires. My greatest desire is to see fruit and maturity in myself and those I lead and feed. Each day I pray for a servant’s heart and an increased zeal for God’s glory.
